Power Book II: Ghost is one of the most interesting TV dramas. The Starz drama chronicles the life of Tariq St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr.) following the death of his father, James “Ghost” St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick) (Omari Hardwick). Even though he swore he wouldn't turn out like Ghost, Tariq has been doing things his father did.
Over the first two seasons, Tariq has become more vicious and conniving, but in season 3 he will be up against some major threats.
'Power Book II: Ghost' Season 3 is currently filming in New York City
Even though the season 2 finale of Ghost just aired at the beginning of the month, the cast and crew are already filming season 3 in New York City. In fact, filming was actually supposed to get underway just after the holidays, but amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) surge in New York City, things were severely delayed. Courtney Kemp, who makes Power Universe, talked with LaToya Tonodeo, who plays Diana Tejada, during an Instagram Live on January 25.
Kemp asked Tonodeo how her first day back filming was. The actor said that everything had gone very well. In a Feb. 8 Instagram Live, Kemp confirmed that she was present at the table read for the season 3 premiere, she also explicitly stated that filming had begun. If everything stays on track, Ghost's third season should come out in late 2022. In season 3, Tariq will face some big problems.
Even though Tariq got away with murder in season 2, he will face some big problems in season 3. Saxe is working with Tariq's lawyer, Davis, who is played by Clifford "Method Man" Smith. However, we just watched the former prosecutor vow to help his lover Jenny (Paton Ashbrook) put Tariq away for good.
While they have seemingly come to a truce, Cane’s (Woody McClain) envy of Tariq knows no bounds. Cane put the college student on trial last season, and we're sure that the gangster's recklessness will get Tariq in trouble again, if Tariq doesn't get to him first.
Effie Morales (Alix Lapri) has always been a wildcard. The Yale student has clearly grown very attached to Tariq, but so much about her past is still a mystery. However, we do know that at the end of the day, Effie will always choose herself. In Season 3 of "Power Book II: Ghost," Tariq will go through some big changes.
Since the informant promised Tariq $2 million, but Mecca (Daniel Sunjata) was killed before Tariq could get it, the college student is still very connected to the Tejada family and their business.
However, now that he knows that his mother, Tasha (Naturi Naughton), and Yasmine (Paris Morgan) are safe together in witness protection, he has some room to be a bit more reckless and ruthless with his choices. During an Instagram Live, Kemp said, "He's going to go through some changes." "He'll be by himself a lot."
As far as we know, Tariq has never trusted the Tejadas. The only people he can trust now are Brayden (Gianni Paolo) and Effie. But those two are keeping a very dark secret about what really happened to Lauren Baldwin, who was Tariq's ex-girlfriend (Paige Hurd).
