Bridgerton's second season came out in 2022, and fans were already asking for more. Viscount Anthony tried to find a Viscountess in the second season. Anthony and Kate Sharma got married, and the season was over.
In the books that the show is based on, Kate and Anthony start a family. So, will Anthony and Kate have a child in the third season?
Kate and Anthony will be a part of the third season of "Bridgerton." In the second season, the show was led by Kate and Anthony. Most of the season was about their love story and how it ended. But the showrunners of Bridgerton have already shown that they don't mind cutting the screen time of leading couples by making Daphne's storyline shorter.
In Season 1, the show was mostly about Daphne and Simon Basset. Regé-Jean Page played Simon, but he didn't come back for a second season, and Daphne got a lot less screen time. So, it's easy to see why many fans worry that their favorite couple from season 2 could have the same thing happen to them or not even show up at all.
But Simone Ashley, who plays Kate on the show, told fans that she and Jonathan Bailey, who plays her viscount, would be back for the third season. At a dinner put on by Netflix, Ashley told Deadline about the news. She said, "We're going to return! Kate and Anthony are just getting started."
Ashley also talked about what she wanted her character to be like, saying, "I think things are just getting going. I'd like to see Kate relax and play more in season 3. I would also like to see them swim in that circle of love together. I think both of them should get it."
Since she married into the Bridgerton family, Kate is now a viscountess. She has to live like a viscountess, which means she has to host balls and dinners and help her younger siblings. So, it makes sense that Kate and Anthony's story won't end in season 2. Will Kate and Anthony be glad to add another Bridgerton to their family?
So far, Bridgerton has kept the Quinn books on track, but he has changed the plot in some interesting ways. But since the writers use a lot of material from Quinn's books, we might see a #Kanthony baby in the third season if Kate and Anthony have one.
When people last saw the viscount and viscountess, they had finally worked through their problems and gotten married. The last episode skipped ahead to when Kate and Anthony got back from their six-month honeymoon around the world and moved right into Aubrey Hall.
PopSugar says that the last chapters of the second book in the series take place a few years in the future. The first epilogue is about Anthony's 39th birthday, and it tells us that he and his wife had a son named Miles.
But viewers only saw the second epilogue, in which Kate and Anthony play pall mall, a Bridgerton family game, without the baby. The show's creator, Shonda Rhimes, told Entertainment Tonight that the writers were "getting creative" with Kate and Anthony's future, which means that fans can expect some exciting changes.
Simone Ashley wants Kate and Anthony to have a child.
Ashley told IMDb that she wants her character Bridgerton to get together with Bailey's character Anthony and have a child. She told me, "Simply put, I'd love for them to have a child. That might or might not happen. But let's hope it does."
Ashley was also looking forward to how her character's story will go. She said, "I can't wait for Kate to become viscountess and head of the household." The actress said that her character, Kate, had a lot to learn about her new job, and she thinks that Anthony will be there to help her.
